Debate's On --TV. Now It's Time To Drop The Folksy Stories And Start Talking Serious About The Issues.*

From Ozarksfirst.com

(Springfield, MO) -- The three candidates in the 7th U.S. Congressional District race will meet face-to-face in the KOLR10 studios early next month.

On Wednesday, the campaigns for Republican Billy Long and Democrat Scott Eckersley finalized plans to attend the debate on Thursday, October 7, 2010.

The highly anticipated, hour-long debate will be broadcast live, co-sponsored by KWTO AM 560.

An earlier confirmation was given by Libertarian Kevin Craig to take part.

KSNF will host a debate in Joplin on October 6, following by KOLR10 on October 7, then The Young Conservatives will host a debate on October 19.

The debate question is over. Now let's drop the folksy stories and start talking specifics on issues. We want more than sound bites.

Get Ready, Billy.

Let's give credit where credit is due.

The outstanding and thoughtful work of Bus at this blogspot helped bring the Long and Eckersley camps to the point of making the debate happen. The only unfortunate thing is that the Librarian candidate, what's his name, will be there to waste one-third of the time.

I for one believe that Jim Lee should be on the debate panel.

And, that there should be a beer garden.
