The Shady Inn Is Gone, Too

The Shady Inn was right around the corner from our house. My wife and I would go there, usually on week day nights, and accept the first available table. It was great food and great martinis.

The Shady played a role in all our major life events: birthdays, wedding proposals, graduations, that "special date". I miss it.

Is there a restaurant in Springfield today that compares to the Shady?
