hey...this is a trick question....when i try to open the photo, it doesn't open.....I think the bus is holding out on us and keeping all the tips to himself....
bet he wins too....BUT...I'll play his game....
1. 1924 Buick
2. Flat..removed from vehicle
3. Removing the rock used as a jack
(that is hy she is not watching what she is doing...she is removing a rock, not placing one)
4. A fence pole as a fulcrum.
5. Cause Henry Ford was paying him.
6. "okay, so if you know so much, you fix the damn car."
7. If they are heading north, then is about 9:00 am....3:00 pm if heading south....shadow based...
8. Spring time....otherwise the trees would have burnt leaves, the road would be dried, and they would not be wearing longsleeved clothes...
9. 1928....there were very few roads until the later 30's in highly populated areas....most roads in rural areas were dirt...however could be as late as the late 30's....what is tag on vehicle license plate say....

During a summer in the early 30's, the obviously not new 1930 Chevrolet is carrying the newlyweds eastbound at high noon to Kentucky from Rockaway Beach when the shelf rocks found in Western Ozark County took a toll on the flat, left-front tire, still on the car. The clean-treaded spare will soon replace the flat tire after the 'hillbilly jack' is locked in place with additional flat rocks being stacked under the end of the split-oak rail, temporarily removed from a nearby fence. The photographer, the rock-stacking bride's mother was along to chaperone the couple and record with a Brownie, the consummation of the prior civil event.

1. 1929 Chevrolet, although that badge and grille shape tell me Chevrolet, that solid front bumper throws me, but I'll stay with it.

2. The spare is on the ground as it has no mud on it while the tire on the car does.

3. Mary Lou is putting stones under the car to hold it up while The Gentleman Farmer is holding the car up to allow this placement.

4. The tool being utilized is a lever and fulcrum.

5. There is nothing for the photographer to do at this point, or the camera is on a tripod and on a timer.

6. The car is from Kentucky, so, presumably that is the state they are in.

7. I would say this shot was taken in the late morning. If it was late afternoon, Mom and Dad would have on warmer clothes.

8. I would say this is in the spring time, as thejeepjunkie points out, the foliage in the background is fresh and the ground is damp.

9. I'm gonna have to say 1946, as Mary Lou doesn't appear to be pregnant in this shot and she was every year subsequent to that one.
