It Ain't Hatari!

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Great movie. When the movie came out they donated some of the animals to different zoos. I was a Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago that got one of the little elephants. St. Louis got a pair of Black and White Colobus Monkeys. When the movie opened in Cincinnati John Wayne made an appearance with one of the zoo's chimps. The zoo staff told him to be careful, they do bite. Mr. Wayne said he had worked with chimps before -- took the chimp with a good, firm grip -- the ape knew he had experience, no problem.

Also great Henry Mancini music and not just the "Baby Elephant Walk".
