Goodness Gracious! Billy Long says we're no longer free in this country!

Billy Long, if nothing else, is a quick learner.

All this talk about him and his gambling junkets to Las Vegas paid for with funds from his campaign account, he needs to end this news cycle.

What better way than to pivot away from gambling and to birth control

Today, August 1, was a banner day for women in America.

The contraceptive mandate took effect today.

Ezra Klein, of the Washington Post, nails it:

It’s not just a contraceptives mandate. The health care law does require health insurance plans to cover all FDA-approved forms of contraception. The provision has received lots of attention – but it’s just one of seven gender-specific preventive health services that insurers also have to cover, all of which fall under the Women’s Preventive Health Amendment, that Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) introduced during the Congressional debate. Insurers must now cover domestic violence screening and counseling, breastfeeding supplies and annual preventive care, such as pap smears and pelvic exams.
And while Billy Long says he doesn't like it he actually does because it takes the heat off his gambling habits.

Appearing at a news conference on the capitol steps Rep. Billy Long (R-MO) said today on the implementation of contraceptive mandate: “We’re not the land of the free anymore, and we need to get that straight.”

This clip of Billy is from the Rachel Maddow Show this evening: "Goodness Gracious The land of the free, the home of the brave. We're no longer free in this country."

Billy and Barbara have two children. Do you think he used birth control or maybe he was just lazy?

Here is more of the clip from Maddow's Show:

Meanwhile, Billy also voted to raise taxes on his supporters who live in this house:

Because he didn't want to raise taxes on the people who live in this house:

Billy's the lead story on the CNS.COM: "Congressman: We're still home of the brave but we're not the land of the free anymore.'"

I have posted example after example of how Billy Long has voted against freedom at BBCW. Billy Long is no champion of freedom.

"Billy Long, if nothing else, is a quick learner"

I hope to shout the SN-L doesn't get hold of your statement. You recall that Billy-as-the-Learner was part of their incantation when they handed him their endorsement last election.

"Billy and Barbara have two children. Do you think he used birth control or maybe he was just lazy"

Some of us assumed it involved a turkey baster.
