Turdblossom Coming To Queen City to Taunt His Values And The Stellar Roy Blunt

This just in from former KY3 political reporter David Catanese

Former presidential adviser Karl Rove will hold a fundraiser for Missouri Senate candidate Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) on Monday in a final push before the second quarter fundraising deadline.

Rove is slated to host two events for the seven-term congressman: a breakfast in St. Charles and a luncheon in Springfield, the Blunt campaign confirmed to POLITICO.

Donors who buck up the maximum $2,400 contribution get a private roundtable with President Bush’s top political adviser, while supporters donating $1,000 will receive a photo opportunity with Rove. The event alone is $500 a head.

Rove was an early backer of Blunt, endorsing him in a December Wall Street Journal column where he lauded the GOP’s “stellar” class of 2010 Senate candidates.

This is a really hush, hush event. Apparently even many local Republicans who are usually in the know don't know where the lunch is being held and at exactly what time. Rove's strategy is for all Republican candidates to avoid the press completely this election cycle. It will all be ads. Money, money, money.

Didn't someone write a country song about the 'Turdblossom Special'?

Taunt.... fighting words or trash talk. I'll make the change.
Thanks

Actually, 'taunt' may have been the proper word since Rove is more or less a 'trash talker'.
