Will Long throw his staffers under the bus? HOT DIGGITY DOG!

Eli Yokely, The Fuse Joplin:

Eckersley said Long had filled out a questionnaire for the group. While Long did not fill out an actual questionnaire, Nick Brown with the organization said he had been in contact with the campaign to find specific answers for their recommendation. One of the group’s goals is to nominate candidates that would be supportive to “dismantle Social Security.”

Cory deVera of the SN-L is reporting today, which supports the statements on this blog about Long, When Eckersley again said Long wants to dismantle Social Security, Long responded:
"Hot diggity dog. Anytime you lie, Scott, I'm going to holler out 'Hot diggity dog.' And you lied last night. You lied consistently about me that I signed some kind of a questionnaire."

Long said he called the organization, and the organization told him it does not have a questionnaire.

"I've got to say the record is clear that frankly there was a questionnaire that was filled out," said Eckersley.

On the research page of ConservativeCongress.com, a chart of Missouri candidates shows the group has determined Long is an "approved candidate" and that on a question (or questions) about Social Security he was marked as "passed" rather than "failed" or "no response

Further, again from deVera's article:
At the Thursday debate, Long said Eckersley has done a good job picking up Democratic talking points to scare seniors by saying Republicans wanted to "dismantle" Social Security.

"The organization he's talking about never even uses the word, so he's lying again."

For background, Conservative Congress, which supports candidates who seek to dismantle Social Security, said on its website that Billy Long is fully aligned with their issues-- which includes dismantling the Department of Education and Social Security.

Also, John Boehner, Republican minority whip wants to raise the social security age.

Hey Billy, do you want the truth or do you want me to lie to you?

The truth?

It's not a talking point, it is on the record.

The direct quote from Conservative Congress website is:
Conservative Congress supports candidates who are committed to de-regulating and dismantling wasteful federal social agencies and programs. Specifically, Conservative Congress supports candidates who seek to dismantle the Department of Education and Social Security, by and through constructive reforms, and who firmly oppose the expansion of federal control over our nation’s healthcare industry.

Can we look for Long camp to say Brown spoke with a staffer who got the auctioneer's position on Social Security wrong.
