I was impressed. There was an electricity in the room when he entered.
It reminded me of 1960, my Mom took my brother and I to Webster Groves to see JFK give a speech in his campaign.
Best part of speech---if JFK said we can put a man on the moon at the end of the decade, we can build an energy efficient car by the end of the decade.
Worst part of speech---would allow tax deduction for interest on home loans--the implication was in addition to the standardized deduction but I wasn't sure. My son heard it was in addition to the standardized deduction.
2nd best part---no taxes on Social Security income.
2nd worst part---create jobs by making energy efficient buildings and retrofitting buildings to make them green. I think on most buildings to make them green it would be cheaper to tear them down and start over from the ground up.
I did find truth in his comment about windows that don't open.
ps---I was impressed with Obama. I didn't see any of that "rock star", Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears type hype, just a genuinely nice guy who will probably be the next POTUS.
I heard that people without tickets were ushered into an adjoining room and could view the event on closed circuit and Obama visited with them afterwards.
Mathematically proven the Best Blogin Springfield and worrisome to Billy?

I've got opinions about dang near everything. Not only that, I'm retired so I've got the time to tell you them. I keep my mouth shut and my ears open and read a lot. Sometimes I add 2 + 2 and get 5, sometimes I add 2 + 2 and get 4. I strive to abide by the "Fina Philosophy" that "Old Lonesome George" espoused: Work hard, sell a good product, don't try to kid anybody.

Lucky duck. You got one of those coveted tickets. We tried, stood in line at the Obama office downtown but we were too far back in the line. Oh well.
I just KNEW you'd go to this thing. I woulda bet vital parts of my anatomy to it.
I heard that people without tickets were ushered into an adjoining room and could view the event on closed circuit and Obama visited with them afterwards.
I bet Obama was great...did he mention anything about rolling back the bogus NCLB.....it has to happen
