Congressman-Elect Long putting together his re-election team

He ain't even sworn in yet to his first term and already he is planning his re-election.

Does this make you "FED UP" or what?

Seems like our Billy boy is more concerned with getting re=-elected than taking care of our business in Washington.

Fed Up? You betcha.

Send a citizen to Washington my ass, he's turned into a career politican before he's even taken the oath of office.

The following was attached to an email sent out from the MSU political science department:

The Billy Long for Congress Re-elect committee is looking for a hardworking finance intern to join the team beginning in December 2010.

The finance intern will have the opportunity to learn through hands on involvement in the campaign process and will play an important role in the day-to-day finance operation. This internship is intended to provide knowledge, skills, and experience that interns can apply to future challenges and professional pursuits in politics, fundraising and finance.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for conservative, self-motivated students and young people who are willing to work hard, take on responsibility, and contribute ideas to the team. We are looking for candidates that have business or political science majors. Finance majors are a plus.

What you will be doing:

Interns will participate in multiple facets of the campaign process including:

• online political operations
• office management
• community outreach and relations
• fundraising
• research
• political events
• event planning and management
• data management

The internship is unpaid. Students are eligible to receive college credit. Please check with your professor and find out if a “learning contract” is required and we will work with you to assist you in getting a semester’s credit. Interns must be available for at least 15 hours/week for at least 6 weeks). You will be asked to sign a memorandum of confidentiality at the onset of your internship.

If you are interested, please contact Alice Perry at alice.perry@billylongforcongress.com or 417-501-6656.

The 'citizen legislator' illusion that Billy created is just that, an illusion.

The 'fed up' illusion has changed to an 'inside feeder'.

This guy has surrounded himself with a whole bunch of people who are not any smarter than him. They will be his downfall.

The sooner the better. For all of us.

That pathetic bunch at the News-MisLeader should try to give us some comfort by reporting that Long (on soundbites) is assembling a staff with the capacity to meet the needs, when they arise, for individuals who must deal with federal issues, agencies, etc.

But wait, that would take a publisher, editor, and reporting staff that understood the importance of of congressional interaction with residents of the 7th District.

Billy Long knows it was money and not his brains that won the seat.

"Students and young people?"

Sounds like a stalker to me.
