The Branson Convention Center will open today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony set for 4:30 p.m., said organizers of the event.

Branson Mayor Raeanne Presley is expected to be at the ceremony.

Tours of the facility, a cocktail reception and a vendor fair will follow after the ceremony this evening.

The vendor fair will resume Saturday at 9:30 a.m., and the celebration of the grand opening will conclude with a concert at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
