Why Don't The Big Oil Companies Bail Out The Automakers?

Seems to me that if there are no cars, there goes the potential for profits.

I wonder if that four dollar gas this summer contributed to their big profits?

I filled up this afternoon for $1.76 a gallon, cost less than twenty dollars to fillup.

Thanks to the horsefarmer for the idea.

seems like just a few short weeks ago I fueled up my Honda and it cost me over $40 bucks...and this from a 1/4 tank....said to myself that I guess the days of gasing up for $20 bucks were over....then I see that petro is only $1.99 a gallon at our local Hess station this am....$29 bucks to fill it from empty and change back to boot...makes me wonder what fuel will cost on January 15th....

Margaret and Helen have an opinion on this same matter! I may have to add a link to their blog.
