Officer David Overcast is an asshole.
The Ozark PD can certainly do better than someone who posts this crap.
This is caused by a lack of leadership within the ranks. Lyle Hodges is part of the problem.
I'd like to say this is just Ozark but we all know it's not.
YouTube is loaded with examples of these monsters, these sadistic assholes torturing people, killing people etc. Bind, (handcuff). Torture. Kill. Just like the "BTK" killer.

I think the entire policing industry (yes, it is an industry at this point not a public service) is close to using up all the good will brought about after 9/11 with moronic behavior like this.
And come on, do the police really need $50k Camaros and Dodger Chargers for squad cars? What a waste of resources.

Here's my observation. The Republicans hate these public servants. The war is on against teachers, cops, fireman. All you have to do is listen to Romney and you know he will declare all out war on these people when he's elected. Same thing for Billy Long...these Repubs HATE public employees.
The Republicans don't want to pay them, fix them (healthcare), or give them pensions. So...are not most of these cops Republican....and let's face it here in the Ozarks the teachers and firement are good Republicans too.
That's called being hung with your own rope.
Maybe the Republicans will turn these jobs into volunteer positions...ya think? No pay. No benefits. No pension. Hey, maybe the Republicans will charge them to do their jobs and MAKE money!! What a deal huh?
In my home town in Ohio they now charge $900 per year per kid to play sports. If you're in Middle School it's only $600 per year. Rich kids play. Poor kids don't. They call it "pay to play". How creative and NO NEW TAXES.

Since teachers, cops and fireman are funded through local municipalities what does any federally elected official have to do with who funds this group of gub'mint workers. If anybody is cutting funding that would be "We the people."
True Prez Clinton offered gub'mint grants for his so called 100,000 cops program but even that funding ran out after 5 years.
Since there is no way in hell that the Feds could fund the nations teachers, cops and firemans, let's dispense with this propaganda thread and stick to real issues.
To Anonymous 6/13/2012 8:35 PM: You do realize that federal dollars do help pay for part of the salaries of local cops, right? In the news today the Greene County Sheriff's Dept. was given money from the Missouri Dept. of Public Safety to give deputies raises. The source of that money...federal block grants.
So yes, it is a reality that the feds help fund local law enforcement and his Mitterness plans to cut off that revenue. Federal dollars also find their way into teacher and fire fighter salaries.

Ozark Police Officer David Overcast is a poster child for police brutality.
This is very disturbing. Not just this image but several others on his fb page. I'm out of the state at the moment - has there been any public reaction to this other than on busplunge and the site linked to?
