An FOB says Billy didn't sell the auction company to Bob, he's just running it for him.

Lot of talk on the streets lately about what did Billy Long dowith his auction company(ies).

His Financial Disclosure report is inconclusive.

From Bungalow Bill's Conservative Wisdom--

Anonymous Comment Provides More Insight to Billy Long's Business Interests

An anonymous comment was left yesterday on an old blog post discussing a rumor that former Congressional candidate Dean Moore shared with me shortly after the election last year. Moore said he had been hearing Congressman Long sold his Auction business. If you remember, KSPR reported this too.

First let's review Billy Long's big promise to voters on Josh Marsh's show.
Today, we have a little more insight to the status of Billy Long's big promise thanks to someone who left an anonymous comment claiming to be a friend and supporter of Billy's.
Dear Bugalow Bill,You sir are an idiot. Billy Long is a good family friend and a representative of my federal district. I have supported him before he was a politician, back when he was an auctioneer. Bob has taken over Billy's auction company but hasn't "bought" it. He is the new manager until Billy's return. As far as the gambling goes,it was just a tussle between he and his opponent. One claimed racism, the other claimed gambling. Neither of which has proven true. Billy Long has done a great job so far, standing against the Obama administration. I will definitely re-support him in 2012.
Sounds like Billy Long didn't tell his good friend of the family to keep his mouth shut concerning the status of his business.

Lots of inconsistencies in Billy's stories.

No evidence of gambling? A quick Google search shows Billy Long plays in some high stakes games. http://thepokerforum.com/spc0915a.htm

Here's a quick read on Members of Congress and their 'bidness' restrictions:

http://www.legco.gov.hk/yr00-01/english/library/0001ein8.pdf

Looks like Bob could not buy Billy's business and use the name.
2.1(2) "permitting his name to be used by any such firm, partnership,
association, corporation, or other entity;"

So, looks like we've all been running a rabbit, and the rabbit is winning.

there's still that Billy Long something that wife Barbara is running now under the Billy Long name.

I just think we're stuck with this guy until Billy qualifies for a lifetime pension and health benefits at which time Roy will slip Matt into the slot or until Billy makes a monumental screwup and Roy puts Matt in sooner.

Let's not forget, if Bob Kollmeier is running Billy Long Auctions, why is he also getting paid to serve as Billy's Ag Liaison.

Anonymous said...

BB,
Bob is not running Billy Long Auctions. He is running his own company. You keep looking behind every bush for a booger, and on this deal, it ain't there.

Timeshare Jake said...

@9:34 well Bob's own company hasn't been found in the Secretary of State's Web site. However, Billy Long's assets have an interesting paper trail since Long got to Congress. The bottom line here is Billy didn't live up to his promise to voters.

Anonymous said...

BB, If you try to sell a business and the marketplace tells you it is not worth anything, what do you do?

It looks and smells and feels like this is the case of Billy Long Auction Company. So what would you do?

I would transfer the business to a family member understanding that it would no longer function as an auction company for the purpose of protecting the 'blue sky' value of the name. Years down the road, if desired and no longer under the rules of Congress, I could restart the business.

Kinda' looks like this is what Billy did. I, like many others, don't really care what he said about or did with his business. He's facing far more serious problems than having hurt your feelings.

Anon 1:05---

Federal laws prohibit Billy's name to be used by any such firm, partnership, association, corporation or other entity.

Billy lied, you know it, he knows it, and ask Mel Hancock why Billy didn't want to give up control of his auction company.

Anonymous said...

O.K., in your opinion, Long is a liar. Now what?

Old Man Bledsoe said...

Naw, Anon 1:26 PM, last fall, when Billy was in campaign mode, I guess he forgot to tell the schools you were visiting that he wanted to abolish the Department of Education?

And it probably slipped his mind when he forgot to tell the farmers who came to his farm tour that he wanted to eliminate farm subsidies?

Let me explain to you something about Billy Long: he's an auctioneer turned politician.
If he tells you the truth, you can believe every word of it.

But when he gets to lying, you better not put no confidence in him at all.

Anonymous said...

Well Bledsoe, with me being a 'horse thief',in your opinion, the challenge you and I face with Long is to sculpture a Congressman out of horse shit. Not going to be an easy task.

It's unfortunate for you that you are of the party that harbors Sheila Lee Jackson who plays poker with a race card up her sleeve.

And, please remeind me how much the annual budget for the Department of Education is and exactly what we get as a return for this investment.

Anonymous said...

Anon 4:34 PM, politicians who want to abolish public education are in in for a monetary return for their corporate handlers.

And the icing is that everyone eventually devolves into dumb Billy boys.

"Shelia Lee Jackson" indeed. That isn't even the correct name.

P.S. And I ain't had nothing nice to say about Republicans since Elvis died.

Anonymous said...

"politicians who want to abolish public education are in in for a monetary return for their corporate handlers."

Now that's a stretch. Are you saying we cannot have public education if the Washington's Department of Education was no longer intruding in state and local education?

The DoE is much like President Obama and the debt issue. No plan of their own but lots of media misinformation of a recommended plan.

Whoops on Shelia Jackson Lee.

Elvis lives in Everton.

Free Bozo and Elvis and Sheila!

Give control of public education to the state of MO? HaHaHaHa!

Republicans in Jeff have been as busy as little bees over the past years crafting legislation to undermine public education.

I'm unhappy with the Feds direction, but state Senator Jane Cunningham??? Pu-leaze.

And why should we trust a state legislature that takes it's direction from the MO Chamber of Commerce i.e. "Fix the Six"?

By the by-this has all been recently exposed thanks to a whistle blower re: The Koch Brothers "American Legislative Exchange Council"

Looky here:

I was kidding about Elvis, and Everton is an urban myth.

Elvis is alive and living in my refrigerator.

Elvis is part of a decanteer set stored in my liquor cabnet.

Timeshare Jake said...

Hurt my feelings? That's what you sum up a big fat lie to?

That's pathetic. No wonder this country is such a mess. No one wants to hold elected officials accountable anymore. Give your rep a pass, and guess what, he becomes one of them.

Timeshare Jake said...

Billy Long doesn't care about returning control of education back to local hands. That was more of his pandering and in a recent letter sent to those concerned about our schools falling under a United Nations program that sets curriculum, Long didn't seem to have any problem with the idea an international governing body was going to influence kids in Southwest Missouri, just ask MSG Ronnie White.

Anonymous said...

Looks to me like you are in the 'pathetic' position. You let the Goodman campaign play you for the fool by planting you at Pizza by the Pound in Joplin way back there a long time ago in an ongoing effort to sink Long's campaign, and what has happened?

Long's in Congress; Goodman is in the Senate and possibly running for Attorney General; Moore in working for the Auditor; I don't know what happened to the rest of the candidates; and, you're beating on the keys to no avail, period.

If I was running his campaign, I'd paint you as one of them radicals. Oh wait, that is already how a small number of people who even know who you are, have already painted you. Who's aligned with you? No one of influence.

Anonymous said...

Jeff? Is that you, Jeff?

Anonymous said...

"Isn't it great to live in a society where the penalty for lying to a congressman can be up to 30 years in jail, but the penalty for a congressman lying to you is another two years in office. "

Timeshare Jake said...

@6:14, Jack Goodman had nothing to do with it, and I showed up with Bob Schanz. Sure Miles Ross filled me in with things, and then disappeared. No one planted me at Pizza by Stout. I did it on my own because Billy Long is an untrustworthy dangerous dolt in DC who is scratching the backs of his cronies, and obviously has Bob Kollmeier doing double time while accepting a paycheck from the taxpayers.

Timeshare Jake said...

By the way, why would I want to be aligned with the crap that is the establishment these days. That's the problem. I take my inspiration from the Constitution, not the Republican party. Back in the day, Jefferson and Madison were considered radicals too, and we know the Republicans no longer believe in their brand of republican government.

Anonymous said...

Who is your legal adviser, BB?

Anonymous said...

It speaks volumes when nervous Billy handlers find it necessary to weigh in on local blog comments.

Busplunge is clearly providing a necessary media service to our community.

Timeshare Jake said...

I find it funny that I stand for about 95% of what Billy Long preached before he got to Washington, and yet they only way they can deal with me is push me off as a radical; although most of them would have a hard time discounting my core conservative beliefs of less government, less taxes, more freedom, and less regulations. Of course, judging what I have seen from the Republican party since 2000, those are beliefs that are no longer popular, so I could be wrong.

Timeshare Jake said...

My legal adviser?

Anonymous said...

"We were sure they would fail, but they fooled us."

Well Jeff, he finally admitted he was a plant by the Goodman people (connected to Miles Ross) and continued to attack the campaign as Billy raised money, worked hard, asked people for their votes, and, won the hard-fought Primary Election.

Now he tries to deploy his values as a shield when the central issue was how he was 'in the tank' of one of the campaigns. Nothing wrong with that.

Unfortunately this credability issue will follow him and Ross forever but will be forgotten by those who believe (not me and many others) that Ross has a political future other than being joined at the hip with Blunt's campaigns. He'll be there when Bill hangs it up and Matt runs for Congress.

And yes, Busplungeville gives us an opportunity to have some fun.

Timeshare Jake said...

Where is the admission? Did Miles Ross give me info, yes. That doesn't mean I was a plant. I haven't hid who was the candidate who came up with Long is Wrong, and that has always been Michael Wardell. Ross was just the cowardly campaign manager who wanted everyone else to do the dirty work. Wardell will admit this too.

The only thing Billy Long worked hard at during the election was working to avoid tough questions that would shine a light at how unprepared he was for this job.

Happy Auctioneer's Day.

Anonymous said...

Like Jeff Roe has an honest reputation in Missouri...

He would kill off his own mother in order to gain political power.

Anonymous said...

The real credibility problem appears to be coming from the auctioneer as seen and heard in the video.

Anonymous said...

Anon 7/19 11:05:

Jeff? Bill? The Jeff I thinking is Jeff Roe, Axiom Strategies.

Bill? would that be our Billy Long?

I did notice that "Bill" made a considerable contribution to Ann Wagner's campaign coffers.

Is Ann Wagner a career politician or one of their cronies?

I don't like that "Bill" is gambling with our country's future.

Matt may be a better congressman, he was a lousy governor but, to paraphrase "Bill", anyone can do a better job than Billy Long.

Timeshare Jake said...

I don't think Billy Long's problem is Bungalow Bill or Busplunge. I think that Long's problem stems from the fact that people like Andrew Breitbart have seen through his facade, guised heavily with Tea Party rhetoric Long has never been true to. Jim and I are harmless fuzz balls, and if you really believe that any of us were a political plant, well then none of you should be in this business. We are just people how are concerned and see through the thick layer of crap that Long continues to deliver. For you to claim, Jack Goodman put me up to driving to Pizza by Stout and setting Billy Long up is just funny. Billy asked me to do coffee and there were plenty of witnesses that saw it take place. Your accusation also means that I would have been planted at the Claire McCaskill town hall meeting and positioned just right to hear the right question followed by Long's typical pandering. The accusation is funny, but it complies with the shoot the messenger mentality.

People like Jeff Roe and yourself obviously don't give a damn about the health of this country over politics as usual which is played like a bunch of idiots picking a side as if it is the Super Bowl. You make me laugh.

Miles Ross did seek me out in Joplin at Lincoln Days as I was talking to Susan from the Globe. The site was already live the day I met Miles. While Miles is a nice guy, you are fortunate he ran Goodman's campaign because he wasn't willing to say what many were thinking about Billy, and obviously Jeff Roe had dirt on Nodler.

All the while there seems more credible evidence that Billy and his cronies were behind a site called Defeat Nodler than any evidence that you can produce that Jack Goodman was behind Long is Wrong.

Of course, all of this has drawn the attention off the real issue here. It seems strange to me, if there isn't anything here of substance with the way Long handled his assets when compared to the Josh Marsh interview, why all of you are spending so much time trying to put out the fire.

Worried about a follow up article from Breitbart perhaps?

Anonymous said...

This has been an entertaining read here in the Capitol. Most of us agree that 101% of the people in Missouri probably do not know who BB is whether it is Breitbart or Bunghole Bill, and even care less.

Now who is Jeff Roe, Miles Ross, Michael Wardell, and Nodler? The characters in this short story are becoming confusing.

We know who Billy Long and Sheila Jackson Lee are.

Sarcasm is the sure sign of a weak mind.

The fact that you are 'in the Capital' and are reading these post deems you contradictory to yourself.
Nobody is reading it but you seem interested. As far as knowing or not knowing who Ross, Wardell, Nodler, or Roe are shows your ignorance as to what goes on or went on in the 7th CD.
Also since you are in D.C. and on our clock, or so it seems. Why aren't you doing your job instead of worrying about this issue....unless your job is to worry about these issues.
BTW if you want issues concerning Long, I hear that a news story at The Hill may break soon that Long may be indicted and/or censured by the house. Finance and possible election tampering.....OOOOPS

To his credit,Congressman Long has treated these misrepresentations of his activities much like the fable of the porcupine.

It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died because of the cold. The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions. After awhile, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen. So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely, they decided to go back to being together. They learned to live with the little wounds caused by the close relationship with their companions in order to receive the warmth that came from the others. This way they were able to survive. The porcupines learned the best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person's good qualities. In other words, LEARN TO LIVE WITH THE PRICKS IN YOUR LIFE.

Nothing is happening here until the debt limit is raised so that we can continue to keep being paid. But, as soon as that happens, we're going to get right back to work.

Sarcasm? You want sarcasm?

"He's really heavy into being an intellectual lightweight."

“I feel so miserable without you, it's almost like having you here.”

“History teaches us that men and nations behave wisely once they have exhausted all other alternatives.”

“A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five.”

“If you find it hard to laugh at yourself, I would be happy to do it for you.”

“I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.”

“Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.”

“I am not young enough to know everything.”

“A modest little person, with much to be modest about.”

Now that's sarcasm!

I always like it when in the middle of debate, the anonymous opponent decides to resort to name calling followed by throwing named about hoping to confuse people to what the real argument is about. Sounds like you don't have much of an argument to support Mr. Long these days.

Funny you would bring up Mr. Long with Sheila Jackson Lee. I guess you like those Congress critters with the lower IQ points.

Timeshare Jake said...

Mr. Long has learned to live with the pricks in his life? I guess that explains the fabrications that accompanied a list of bloggers "worrisome to Long."

Billy Long doesn't appear to like free speech very often or the opinion of his constituents. He does little to improve his reputation as he proves each day we were correct in our judgement of him.

"I won't go to Washington and scratch anybody's back. You have my word on that."

Then suddenly after a $5000 donation, we have Long on the floor of the House conducting that business of special interest proposing National Auctioneer Day.

The truth is Billy Long hasn't left the pricks alone, or you wouldn't be here trying to put out this fire, which we can clearly connect a member of his Congressional staff conducting his own personal business at home, which he promised voters he was going to sell in order to gain their trust.

As of Miles Ross, if BBCW and Busplunge wrote articles favorable of Billy Long and anti-Jack Goodman, well I am willing to bet Billy Long, Jeff Roe, James Harris, and the rest of Billy's cronies would have been dropping information in our laps just like Miles Ross did. You guys play a dirty game in hopes of fooling the American people that your candidate is worthy of their votes. It's pathetic and America is starting lose because of it.
